His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani met yesterday at his Amiri Diwan office with the visiting Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation Luigi Di Maio and the accompanying delegation. During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations and means to support them. The two sides also discussed the most prominent regional and international developments, especially the situation in Afghanistan. In this regard, the Italian minister expressed his country's thanks and appreciation to the Amir for Qatar's role and efforts in facilitating the evacuation of Italian citizens from Afghanistan.
