The fifth edition of S’hail – Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition – continues to evoke a good response and is a huge draw for falcon lovers and hunting, camping and safari aficionados.
In the presence of Katara general manager Prof Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti, who is also chairman of the Organising Committee, the second day of S’hail 2021 witnessed visits by a number of dignitaries, including HE Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad al-Thani and HE Khalid bin Shaheen al-Ghanim, Katara said in a statement.
A number of ambassadors also visited the exhibition yesterday, including Saudi's Prince Mansour bin Khalid bin Abdullah al-Farhan al-Saud, Italy's Alessandro Prunas, Costa Rica's Mariano Segura Ávila and the Kyrgyz Republic's Chyngyz Eshimbekov.
"The fifth edition of S’hail continues its success story with all its brilliance since its inception in 2017 as the most prominent global event specialised in the field of hunting and falcons, having attracted 160 local, Arab and international companies representing 18 countries from around the world, and offering the latest types of weaponry and best equipment and products for hunting, camping and safaris," the statement noted.
Mohamed bin Abdul Latif al-Misnad, vice-chairman of the Organising Committee, said S’hail has become the most prominent annual event awaited by lovers of hunting and camping. “It has become the preferred destination for falconers from Qatar, the region and various countries, meeting in one place to exchange experiences, knowledge and expertise, and to make deals along with the exhibition’s role in spreading and preserving the heritage of hunting and culture,” he noted.
The official said S’hail brings together the largest international companies specialised while catering to the needs of hunters with high-quality products. The exhibition has become an annual destination attractive to falconers and safari lovers, offering multiple options to acquire the latest weapons, hunting and camping equipment that are made according to the best specifications, besides spreading the culture of fishing and highlighting its value for the awareness of the new generation, he added.
Meanwhile, the S’hail auction on the first day of the fifth edition achieved a highest price of QR140,000, which was won by Thamer Khamis Aman Jaber al-Mohamed.
Today, Dr Farouk al-Ajli will give a lecture on the Qatar Falcon Genome Project from 6.30pm until 7pm at Building 15, Katara. He will also discuss a number of important topics.
The four-wheel-drive vehicles section, which is a major draw among the attendees, whether to equip their automobiles for purposes such as hunting trips, or for the latest equipment and accessories that fishing and falconry enthusiasts need on their trips and in camps, in accordance with the highest standards of protection, security and safety.
Abdullah Salem al-Nabit, an official from Arab World Factory for Automotive Structures, said their pavilion provides distinguished services while praising S'hail 2021 for attracting major companies specialised in fishing and excursions - all under one roof.
Mohamed El-Sayed, superviser of the Top Profits pavilion, said the company provides different equipment for 4WD vehicles and prepares them for road trips based on the highest levels and specifications for land and desert use. It also ensures the safe driving of cars on rugged desert roads such by providing the driver with ventilation systems, tyres, towing equipment, high-quality oil that can withstand high temperatures, brakes, air cylinders, flashlights, camping lighting devices of all types and sizes and other equipment, products and systems for four-wheelers, which help increase their torque, strength, endurance levels and efficiency for all land and hunting trips.
