Qatar Scientific Club (QSC) Thursday joined the Supervisory Committee of Beautification of Roads and Public Places in Qatar in its third season of planting trees along the Central Market Street.
The event, a part of the ongoing Qatar Beautification and Our Kids Planting Trees Campaign to Plant Million Trees, was held in co-ordination with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME).
QSC managing director Sheikh Ali bin Salman al-Thani said that the institution is pleased to collaborate with the Committee as it promotes the importance of tree planting.
Engineer Mariam al-Kuwari, project design manager, said that Committee is glad to share with the QSC students the experience of planting local trees, suitable for the Qatari environment.
Engineer Jassim al-Fakhro, project manager, noted that the initiative contributes to increasing green areas in Qatar. Student Al Anoud al-Hitmi, a member of QSC, said he is happy to be part of this unique experience.
