Minami Ando overcame Zhu Chengzhu 11-6, 9-11, 11-4, 14-16, 11-8, while Hina Hayata and Hitomi Sato enjoyed straight-games wins to send Japan to the final. Ando beat Shin Yu-bin in four games in the final, Hayata likewise beat Jeon Ji-hee in four, and Miyu Nagasaki straight-games triumph over Lee Zion sealed the gold medal. Meanwhile, Qatar men’s team finished 14th after losing play-off match to Jordan 1-3.
