GCC secretary-general meets EU high representative

GCC Secretary-General Dr Nayef Falah Mubarak al-Hajraf met Sunday with High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission Josep Borrell. The meeting discussed means of enhancing co-operation between the Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) and the European Union in various fields, including free trade negotiations between the two sides, economic co-operation to serve common interests, and the latest regional and international developments. The importance of supporting international efforts to end the war in Yemen was stressed through the political path, in accordance with the terms of reference of the Gulf initiative, the outcomes of the Yemeni national dialogue, and Security Council Resolution 2216.
