MES Indian School recently hosted a youth festival, Regalia, over two days. There were virtual competitions in light, classical and instrumental music categories, folk and classical dance, Kathak, Kuchipudi, solo video performance, fancy dress, and painting in senior, intermediate, junior and sub-junior categories. As many as 1,500 students participated.
Best Individual Artistes: Sohan Sandeep and Mehreen K T in the sub-junior category-I and II, respectively. Nidal Abdul Salam, Abdul Fattah, Mohammed Hasbin Razack, Aadhil Sunil Kumar Lekshmi and Abhilah in their respective junior, intermediate and senior categories for boys, whereas in the girls’ category, Janice Liz Rijoe, Soubiksha Rajesh, Kaviyaha Anand, and Arundhathi Gopikrishnan were conferred the award in their respective junior, intermediate and senior levels.
Earlier, Regalia was inaugurated by Nithya Mammen, famous playback singer, SIIMA award winner 2020 and alumna of MES Indian School.
The special guest and alumna of MES Indian School, RJ Ashtami from Radio Suno 91.7 FM urged the students to develop confidence and repose faith in themselves to scale greater heights and become successful in life.
The school principal, Hameeda Kadar, exhorted students to harness the habit of willingness to participate in a competition of any kind as participation is everything. She also thanked the parents for their unstinting support throughout the preparation and conduct of the event.
