Under the patronage of HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz al-Thani, the Community College of Qatar (CCQ) will celebrate the graduation of its 10th batch of associate’s and bachelor’s degree holders at 6.30pm on November 1.
The ceremony, which marks the graduation of 865 specialised national cadres in multiple fields, will be held at Qatar National Convention Centre in line with the precautionary measures stipulated by the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

This year’s celebration coincides with the 10th anniversary of the college, during which it has succeeded in developing a unique model for higher education as well as scientific and institutional excellence in Qatar while providing a range of unique educational opportunities and a flexible learning environment for lifelong learning, according to a press statement.
Dr Mohamed al-Naemi, CCQ president, said this year’s ceremony marks a distinguished journey through which CCQ has witnessed many developments and achievements that have made a significant contribution to Qatar National Vision 2030, especially related to the human development pillar.
The president of the college added that the academic programmes CCQ offers have increased significantly during the past 10 years. From two associate’s degree programmes to 14 associate’s degree and six bachelor’s degree programmes, CCQ expanded its academic programmes in co-ordination with various government and private entities to meet the evolving job market needs of specialised Qatari cadres.
It offers a wide range of degrees to complement the programmes offered by other universities and CCQ was the first higher education institution in Qatar to offer a BS in Logistics and Supply Chain Management and a BS in Cyber & Network Security, as well as the BA in Project Management and the BA in Human Resource Management. Moreover, the college’s English Language Centre was granted a five-year accreditation at the end of the 2019-2020 academic year, by the Commission on English Language Accreditation.
The college has also announced that the graduation ceremony is open to those who are fully vaccinated, provided that 14 days have passed since they received the second dose, as well as those who have recovered from the virus, provided that an official certificate of immunity from the MoPH is presented. Individuals who have not taken any dose or two doses of the vaccine are required to undergo a rapid antigen test at a medical centre accredited by the MoPH. The test result must be negative and must be done 24 hours before the ceremony.
The college has invited parents and all community members to join its celebration of the graduates of Class 2021 on its YouTube channel.
