Qatar attends Arab ministerial meeting on environment affairs

Qatar participated in the 32nd session of the Council of Arab Ministers Responsible for Environmental Affairs, which started on Thursday at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States headed by Egypt.
Qatar participated in the 32nd session of the Council of Arab Ministers Responsible for Environmental Affairs, which started on Thursday at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States headed by Egypt. The delegation to the meetings of this session is headed by HE the Minister of Municipality and Environment and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Dr Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki al-Subaie. In this session, the Council will discuss a number of important topics on its agenda which their draft resolutions were prepared by the Executive Office yesterday, and related to a number of environmental issues, including the Arab deal with climate change issues and the preparations for the UN Climate Change Conference (COP 26) of the Parties to the United Nations Convention, The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change which will be held at the end of this month in Glasgow, UK. Topics of the environmental dimension in the sustainable development goals and the Arab position in all environmental agreements related to desertification and biodiversity are also followed up.
