Doha Toastmasters Club conducted its first hybrid meeting recently, adhering to social distancing protocols. Meeting was called to order by sergeant at arms Kesavraj Sampathkumar. President Atul Hardas in his opening address recollected the memories of last in-person meeting conducted 19 months ago on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
Toastmaster of the day Ravikeerti Patil motivated the members with his theme 'Jump Start'. Vice president public relations Ian Dmello released newsletter 'Eloquence' in the presence of District 116 director Manzoor Moideen.
Shashanth Shanmadhuran, Amarnath Baburajan, Milton Swaminathan and Niloufer Samal spokle gave speeches, which were evaluated by past district director Rajeswar Sundaresan, Yasser al-Deisi, Nagaraja Sekar Mannem and Division A director Jayakumar Menon.
Adam Abdi was the general evaluator. Timer Smitha Abraham, grammarian Namrata Tawade and listener Khalid Abu Hamad presented reports. Niloufer Samal and Milton Swaminathan were awarded as best speaker, Manzoor Moideen as best table topic speaker and Rajeswar best edvaluator. Doha Toastmasters Club was incorporated in 1996 to enhance the communication and leadership skills of its members.
