Friends of Kozhikode-Qatar (FoK-Qatar), an Indian Cultural Centre-affiliated expatriate association of Kozhikode district in the Indian state of Kerala, is conducting a cultural event titled 'Soul of India' on October 18 evening.
The programme has been organised as a patriotic tribute to India’s 75th year of Independence. The 75-week long celebrations, collectively named by the Government of India as Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, were officially launched in Qatar by the embassy of India in association with the ICC and supported by affiliated organisations. "FoK-Qatar proudly associates with the celebrations and the FoK cultural event, 'Soul of India'," the organisers said in a statement.
The event will take place at Ashoka Hall on the ICC premises in Abu Hamour.
Xavier Dhanraj, first secretary at the Indian embassy, will be the chief guest along with other dignitaries.
