Marathi Toastmasters Club, comprising expatriates from the Indian state of Maharashtra, recently celebrated its first anniversary. The occasion was graced by Toastmaster International president Margaret Page.
Meeting was called to order by sergeant-at-arms Madhuri Borgave. Club president Chandrashekhar Angadi opened the meeting.
Toastmaster of the day Sujata Wakhare spoke on the theme 'The Moon' and conducted an interactive session. Founder president Abhijit Kuwalekar conducted the new member induction ceremony.
Divison B director Anita Samanta congratulated the executive committee for achieving the Smedley Award. Area 8 director Anjali Pimple also encouraged the members to participate in the upcoming contest. Ravikeerti Patil and Manjiri Dahale delivered the project speeches, which were evaluated by Priya Shembhekar and Pimple.
Other key roles were handled by Ravi Kumar (general evaluator), Sujit Khanloskar (timer), Manisha Deshpande (grammarian), Vaishnavi Angadi (listener), and Ajaya Rogiye (quote master). Table topic session was conducted by Sameer Karmarkar.
