Longtime Indian expatriate passes away in Doha

Nagesh Rao (60), a longtime Indian expatriate in Qatar, passed away in Doha on Thursday due to heart attack. He is survived by his wife Anuradha N Rao, son Ashish N Rao and daughter Aishwaraya N Rao. Once the legal formalities are completed, his body will be flown to India tomorrow (Sunday) for the last rites, a community source said. Rao, in Qatar for over 32 years, was he sales manager at Al Sharq Trading, a wholesale pharmacy company. He was also the president of Karnataka Sangha Qatar, a forum of expatriates from the southern Indian state of Karnataka. Several of his friends and well-wishers have offered condolences to the family.
