There are chances of scattered, intermittent rain from this weekend, continuing until the middle of next week, the Qatar Met department has said.
"The amount of clouds is expected to increase from Friday until the middle of next week with chances of intermittent, scattered rain ranging mostly between light and moderate in intensity, and may become thundery in some places at times, especially offshore," the department said in a report Wednesday.
The winds during this period will be mainly northeasterly-southeasterly, moderate to fresh in speed, becoming strong during thundery rain when the wind gust is expected to exceed 25knots. This, in turn, will result in low visibility and blowing dust, especially in open areas, the report states, adding that the wave height will rise to 7 FT offshore.
The maximum temperature is expected to range from 29-35C during the daytime and the minimum from 19-27C by night in different areas.
The Met department has urged everyone to be careful and follow latest updates through its official accounts as this transitional period is known for fast weather fluctuations.
