Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) along with principals of Indian schools and a representation of the community, bid farewell to Birla Public School principal A P Sharma.
Indian embassy first secretary (culture and education) Sachin Dinkar Sankpal was the chief guest. ICC's head of education, Kamla Thakur, delivered a welcome speech. Shaymanthi Bhoumik was the compere.
On behalf of Ithe CC Student Forum, Mohamed Zayan K P delivered a message to Sharma.
ICC president P N Babu Rajan, Indian Schools chairman Hassan Chougle, convener M P Philip, Ideal Indian School principal Syed Shoukath Ali and Birla Public School headgirl Shiny Kabeer were among the speakers. Indian Community Benevolent Forum Ziad Usman and ICC advisory chair K S Prasad presented a memento and ICC Youth Forum a Kashmiri Pashmina shawl to Sharma.
In his farewell address, Sharma recalled his memories and thanked the Indian community, ICC, ICBF for their services and volunteered his support through webinars.
ICC in-house activities head Mohan Kumar and ICC Students Forum representative Aryananda Devi proposed a vote of thanks.
