HE the Minister of Environment and Climate Change Sheikh Dr Faleh bin Nasser bin Ahmed bin Ali al-Thani met the US Deputy Secretary of Energy David Turk during his visit to Qatar's pavilion on the sidelines of COP26, currently being held in Glasgow, United Kingdom.
During the meeting, they reviewed aspects of co-operation in environment and climate change and ways to enhance them.





The minister also highlighted Qatar's efforts in tackling the effects of climate change.
The minister also met separately with the Algerian Minister of Environment and Renewable Energy Fatma Zohra Zerouati and the Iraqi Minister of Environment Jassim Al Falahi.
During the two meetings, aspects of co-operation in the field of environment and climate change and ways to enhance these were reviewed.
HE the Minister inaugurated the Qatar pavilion on November 1.
During his speech, the minister welcomed the delegations of about 200 participating countries.
He affirmed Qatar's commitment to pursuing efforts to cut carbon emissions and reduce global warming.
Several Qatari entities are participating in the exhibition, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Qatar Energy, the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, and Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development.
Qatar's pavilion is organising workshops and discussion sessions to explore ways to confront the effects of climate change and the prospects for limiting its repercussions.
