D'Souza explained to the audience the basic elements of personal branding, brand equity, analysing the target audience, brand loyalty and communication in a simple way with personalised examples. The expert highlighted 10 important tools of branding and success. These are: have a long term vision; make it your mission to work towards to your vision; constantly add to your brands’ value; effectively manage your message; constantly review where your personal brand is headed; there is no substitute for hard work; have a healthy mind and healthy body; give your time to good causes; have a broad mind scope; ask yourself the question, 'is what I’m doing making me really happy?'
In the Q&A session that followed he answered a wide range of queries from attendees across the world.
He gave a clear understanding of how branding oneself keeps the individual current in his/her chosen field, opens doors to opportunities and creates a lasting impression on clients.
A successful brand self-promotes, stimulates a unique experience, breathes loyalty, and offers consistency in the quality of the service it offers.
Attendees included many dignitaries across the globe.
The session was anchored by Christopher Almeida, an ardent self-practitioner of branding at his work place and in Toastmasters too.
