Meetings discuss code of conduct, integrity of public officials

The Civil Service and Government Development Bureau, represented by the Public Administration Institute, in co-operation with the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority (ACTA), organised two meetings on the code of conduct and integrity of public officials and national cybersecurity efforts for members of the national leadership programs at the Qatar Leadership Centre.
The meetings come within the framework of the existing co-operation between the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau and ACTA in line with achieving the Qatar National Vision 2030. The first meeting dealt with the definition of the code of conduct and integrity of public officials and the importance of promoting the values of integrity and transparency of the public job.

Director of the Monitoring and Development Department of ACTA Amal Ahmed al-Kuwari stressed the need to strengthen the legislative framework for the public service concerning determining job behaviours and enhancing the ethics of the public job, which would lead to achieving the highest indicators of transparency and integrity in the country, enhancing confidence in the public job and further protecting public money.Furthermore, the Public Administration Institute of the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau held a meeting in co-operation with the National Cyber Security Agency on national efforts for cybersecurity. The meeting included promoting awareness and education about information security, information and security risks, best security practices to avoid risks and reduce their impact on state institutions while ensuring continuity of work, and reducing the losses associated with these risks, in line with the national cybersecurity strategy.The organisation of these meetings comes within the plans of the Public Administration Institute directed to members of the national leadership programmes in government agencies within the 2021 training plan.
