Division G of District 116, Qatar of Toastmasters International, conducted its seventh TLI training session online recently for its division council members and all other enthusiastic toastmasters across District 116.
The training had two segments. The first was on how to lead the corporate and regional language clubs was handled by immediate past district director Thayalan K. He enlightened the audience on how to improve corporate clubs and gave tips to enliven the meetings, the dos and don’ts of being a successful leader and how to achieve club goals while sustaining quality.
The second segment on leading Arabic and advanced clubs was handled by the past district head of Arabic Clubs’ Affairs, Abdulla Hamdan. Reiterating the suggestions of the first presenter, he insisted on the necessity of understanding the nature of the club, its specific goals, targeted audience and their needs in particular. He emphasised the positive outlook and attitude of leaders.
Division G director Alar Mel Mangai anchored it. The Q&A session was moderated by Area 25 director Diana May Tangante. Other division directors, Jayakumar Menon, Sabari Prasad and Krishna Saini, also attended the meeting. Assistant division director Rinku Saha proposed the vote of thanks.
