HEC Paris has been ranked the number one European business school in 2021 by the Financial Times (FT), coinciding with the school’s 140th birthday and the 10th anniversary of HEC Paris in Qatar. This also represents the school’s second major honour in 2021, having been recently ranked the No. 1 EMBA worldwide, according to the latest rankings from the FT.The 2021 FT classification for European business schools sees HEC Paris preserve its top position for the third consecutive year, and tops this ranking for a record 10th time, an excellent performance that reflects the institutions commitment to excellence in research and teaching. The ranking aggregates the school's performance in five main rankings published by the FT: MBA, Executive MBA (EMBA), Master in Management and Executive Education (Customs and Open). The globally recognised EMBA and Master’s programmes have helped further anchor the school’s number one position in Europe.Dr Pablo Martin de Holan, dean of HEC Paris in Qatar, said: “HEC´s position in the FT and other rankings are a validation of our mission of impact and excellence, including in Qatar and the Gulf region.”“HEC Paris and its partners are helping build a knowledge-based, diversified, sustainable economy that is central to Qatar National Vision 2030, by training women and men to reach their potential as managers, leaders, and entrepreneurs and by creating and growing ethical and responsible companies that create a better future for all,” he said. The FT assessment is a “ranking of rankings” derived from the performance of European schools in the most recent individual rankings of global providers for MBAs, EMBAs and Masters in Management, as well as for non-degree executive education courses. The individual FT rankings take into account graduate outcomes, including salary and career progress, as well as factors such as quality of research and international and gender diversity of students, faculty and school governing bodies.“We are obviously proud of our position in the rankings, which attests to our ability to bring a great deal of expertise and resources into the classroom,” said Joshua Kobb, executive director for Partnerships and Growth. “The learning experience we deliver is transformational for our participants, and helps our corporate clients develop the talent and leaders they need address increasingly complex challenges in the global market.”
