Birla Public School celebrated Qatar National Day with a week-long programme highlighting the theme “My Values Determine My Identity.”
Islamic elocution for Grades 5 to 8 marked the beginning of the celebration. This was followed by the finals of Qatar history quiz competition of Grade 5. Art activity with the title ‘Tolerance,’ special assemblies showcasing Qatari values, traditions and the upcoming FIFA World Cup and an exhibition of miniature models of the different landmarks by students across the Grades 5 to 9 were among the activities.
Dr Al Khayareen Mohamed, director of Zoo Section at Al Khor Park was the chief guest of the closing ceremony. The programme was organised by the Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies assisted by the Department of Social Science.
