HE Minister of Labour Dr Ali bin Samikh al-Marri affirmed that the celebration of this year's National Day comes as Qatar attained many remarkable achievements at the various political, economic, cultural, sports, and even humanitarian levels. In exclusive statements to Qatar News Agency (QNA) on the occasion of National Day, he said that the celebration of National Day is an occasion to emphasise the values of loyalty and pride in the dear homeland, and to take a moment to appreciate and respect for all the sacrifices and efforts made by the current and early leaders, starting with the founder, for the sake of establishing a strong, secure and stable State of Qatar.
HE the Minister said that the principles laid down and embodied by the founder Sheikh Jassim bin Mohamed bin Thani were followed by many generations until they became a cherished inheritance and a solid foundation upon which the State was built. He stressed that the Ministry of Labour will work to continue efforts to organise the labour market within the country in line with Qatar National Vision 2030, and in continuation of the pioneering successes and achievements made by the State in the labour sector, thanks to concerted efforts and continuous co-operation with local and international authorities alike.
He indicated that the recruitment and training of national competencies is one of the important priorities of the ministry, so that they are ready and qualified to work in private sector institutions through implementing nationalisation policies in co-ordination and partnership with various state institutions, noting the compatibility of visions with private sector institutions to encourage Qatari citizens to work for them.
The ministry has begun to conclude bilateral agreements with some private sector institutions and companies with the aim of employing national forces and human resources and qualifying them to compete in the labor market, he noted.
As the State of Qatar celebrates National Day, it continues its steady approach towards a brighter future under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, who was able to make unprecedented achievements at all levels in a short period, he underlined. He stressed that the celebration of National Day is not just a celebration, but to inspire with its past and draw lessons from it to move forward towards completing the process of building a modern state. Thanks to the leadership of His Highness the Amir, Qatar has a great standing among nations, is proud of its achievements in various fields, and is proud of its sons who gathered around their leader to build the nations renaissance, he added.
Therefore, HE the Minister said that National Day represents a link between the past, present and future, highlighting the historical and civilisational values of Qatar, and invoking the sacrifices made by the founder Sheikh Jassim bin Mohamed bin Thani and the nation's leaders after him. The celebration of National Day is an opportunity to reflect on the concepts that the anniversary carries in order to follow the example of the loyal people of this dear country, HE the Minister said, adding that upon following that example, lofty meanings of the concept of the homeland inspire a profound vision in order to move at a steady pace towards the future of the State of Qatar, which is on the path of development and growth, taking the reasons for progress according to the requirements of the times to meet the needs of the State and to build a comprehensive renaissance in various aspects of life.
HE Minister of Labour also stressed that the celebration of National Day represents a beacon to the path of goodness that Qatar is experiencing and establishes the right of citizenship, thanks to its founder, who worked with every possible effort for the country's independence and defended it, adding that the founder's task was then continued by those who came after him until the era of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, who crowned this march with the recent Shura Council elections. On this dear occasion, HE the Minister extended sincere congratulations on behalf of himself and all employees of the Ministry of Labour to the State of Qatar, its leadership and people, led by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.
