The Turkish ambassador to Qatar Dr Mustafa Goksu has highly appreciated the successful organisation of the FIFA Arab Cup 2021 that concluded in Doha on Saturday.
"Such amazing success confirms the full readiness of Qatar to host the best edition of the FIFA World Cup in less than one year," he said in a statement.
"Turkey is enthusiastically looking forward to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, as we are very keen on brotherly Qatar's success in such an international event and will participate with all our capabilities," he stressed.
The Turkish envoy observed that the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021 acted as an early test, where the Qatari technical and security department achieved great success, and gained more practical experiences as they have addressed real scenarios for the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
"This major sports event is a great source of pride for Qatar, and the entire Islamic world," he added.
