College of the North Atlantic-Qatar (CNA-Q) organised an appreciation ceremony for workers and contractors’ staff under facilities management.
CNA-Q president Dr Salem Al-Naemi, facilities manager Biju Koshy, members of CNA-Q management and more than 350 skilled workers were present.
Dr Al-Naemi said: “We organise this event on yearly basis in appreciation of the people who work behind the scenes to improve our campus life and make the College a great place for students, faculty and staff. CNA-Q nurtures a culture that values inclusivity, diversity, support and respect to every member of its community. For this purpose, we strive to recognise and reward the valuable contributions, not only of our team members, but also of the staff of the companies contracted by the College."
“Skilled workers are the foundation of any successful institution, specifically facilities workers who operate 24/7 and need to stay alert for any problem or malfunction that may arise. This ceremony was a breath of fresh air for them, it was an opportunity to take a break from their daily responsibilities, get together, socialise and enjoy the celebration,” noted Koshy.
During the ceremony, high-performing workers were awarded. The official host of the ceremony was a lady from the security team, and the event saw performances by workers and talents from CNA-Q. The ceremony concluded with a raffle draw comprising of many attractive prizes and a dinner reception.
