MES holds orientation session for teachers

The session began with a motivational speech by principal Hameeda Kadar reminding teachers to be proactive in imparting study skills to students. She conducted an interactive session titled ‘Conceptual Learning and 21st Century Skills’ accentuating various effective methods including 3R’s such as Remedial, Recall and Revision to be adopted in everyday lesson activities.The topics covered by the teaching faculty during the first day were ‘Behavioural Problems-Identification and Management’ ( Fathima Samar), ‘Effective Communication Skills’ (Aleena Angel, R G S R L Pushyami) and ‘Differential Learning Strategies’ (Jahfar Niyas).The topics of the second and the third day included ‘Early Identification of Slow Learners’ (R G S R L Pushyami), ‘School Rules, Policies and Procedures’ (HR team comprising Mohamed Rashid and Syeda Umme Salma), ‘NEP and Classroom Strategies’ (Rajendran S), ‘Instilling Growth Mindset with Art Integration (Rajani S N, Fency Pathrose, Nisha Menon), ‘Promoting Growth Mindset among Teachers and Learners’ (Jency George), ‘Physical Fitness Training Session (for gents) and Aerobics (for ladies) by Akbar Ali and Nazanin Salim Nadaf, ‘Health Issues among Children’ and ‘Covid-19 Precautions and Protocols after Mid-Year Holiday’ (Gincy Wilson, Shiju Sebastian, Presilla K Augustine), ‘ERP Training for the newly-inducted teachers’ (Mohsina Zameel, Mohsina Parveen, Ahmmed Shahid, Ankush Kumar), ‘Discipline in Classrooms and School’ (Akbar Ali, Nazanin Salim Nadaf, Fency Pathrose, Mohamed Asadullah, Mohamed Navas, Lancy Vitus), ‘Qatar History Lesson Plan and Activities’ (Nadeera Beegum Haneefa, Reshma Khan), ‘KG Class –Interesting Plan’ (Cheryl, Dolette), ‘Using Interactive Panel’ (Sahana, Jamsheera), and ‘Activities for KG Classes’ (Ghazala, Amina). Certificates of appreciation were awarded to all the presenters.The event was co-ordinated by Jency George, Mary Cynthia S, Resmi Ajith Kumar, Althea Nazareth and Ashina Ashraf.
