The Ministry of Commerce & Industry (MoCI), in co-operation with Nasser Bin Khaled Automobiles, has recalled 2021 Mercedes-Benz AROCS vehicles, as the steering shaft may have cracks leading to breakage resulting in loss of steering torque.
The MoCI, in co-operation with Jaidah Automotive, also announced the recall of 2007-2014 Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban and Silverado vehicles, due to a possible malfunction in front passenger airbag Takata inflator.
The recall campaign comes within the framework of the MoCI’s continuous efforts to protect consumers and ensure that dealers follow up on vehicle defects and repairs.
The MoCI said that it will co-ordinate with the dealer to follow up on the maintenance and repair works and will communicate with customers to ensure that they carried out the necessary repairs.
The MoCI urged all customers to report any violations to its Consumer Protection and Anti-Commercial Fraud Department, which processes complaints, inquires and suggestions through the following channels:
