Nama Winter Carnival continues in Al Wakra

The activities of the Nama Winter Carnival, which started on December 23, will continue until January 28. The carnival is organised by the Social Development Centre (Nama), one of the centres affiliated with Qatar Foundation for Social Work. In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Executive Director of Nama Saba Mohamed al-Fadala confirmed that this carnival represents a true translation of the centre's vision and goals in supporting owners of small and micro enterprises, and providing them with a suitable environment for their development and presence in the market.
Al-Fadala noted that this event aims to revitalise the southern region of the country and motivating visitors to get to know the incubated stores and meet the owners of projects, as well as to enhance aspects of support for entrepreneurs and shed light on the reality of productive projects in Qatar.Al-Fadala praised the organisation of the carnival, thanking ExxonMobil, the platinum sponsor of the carnival, for the efforts it made, and for its constant co-operation with the Nama Centre in implementing its services and programmes. In turn, Mohamed al-Abdul Ghani, Director of the Entrepreneurship Department at the Centre, said in similar statements that the Nama Winter Carnival includes a package of activities addressed to family members, and provides an opportunity for members to introduce their projects by displaying and selling their products, indicating that workshops will be implemented for young people with the aim of launching a second class of craftsmen, as well as workshops for projects with members specialised in training.For his part, Director of the Communication and Media Office Nama, said that the carnival includes an entertaining and educational programme aimed to introduce visitors to the incubator's shops and allow them to meet with project owners, pointing out that this occasion is an opportunity to enhance aspects of support for entrepreneurs.It sheds light on the reality of productive projects in Qatar, and provides outlets for display and sell products of members benefiting from Nama support services. He also explained that the activities of the "Nama's Winter Carnival" are trying to contribute to the efforts to revive the southern region of the country, calling on the public to visit the carnival that takes place in Al Wakra Market on Thursday and Friday of every week.
