Abandoned Cars Removal Committee holds meeting

The Joint Committee for the Removal of Abandoned Cars in the country on Thursday held its first meeting in 2022 after its re-formation according to Ministerial Resolution No. (91) for the year 2021. Committee chairman Maj Gen Ali Salman al-Hassan al-Mohannadi, vice chairman Jaber Hassan al-Jaber, members Saleh Hassan al-Kuwari (Ministry of Environment and Climate Change), Marzouq Mubarak al-Masifri, Muhammad Faraj Mutaib al-Kubaisi and Hamad Sultan Misfir al-Shahwani (Ministry of Municipality), Issa Shaheen al-Nuaimi (Ministry of Finance), Asma Nasser Ahmed al-Janahi (Ministry of Commerce and Industry), and Hassan Ali al-Nuaimi (General Authority of Customs), Captain Turki Sherida Mubarak al-Kaabi (General Traffic Department), Captain Abdul Rahman Rashid Husayn al-Nuaimi (Lekhwiya) and Ghanem Hassan al-Sulaiti (Supreme Judicial Council) were present. Maj Gen al-Mohannadi welcomed the new members and briefed them on functions and the achievements of the Committee since its establishment in 2016. The results were also reviewed and the obstacles and negative aspects to be avoided were reviewed. Committee member al-Masifri reviewed the plan for 2022, which started on January 3 in Al Rayyan Municipality and will proceed intensively in the run up to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
