HE the Minister highlighted Qatar's efforts in achieving national food security as one of the goals of regional and global food security, adding that the State obtained the first place in the Gulf and Arab countries and 24th place globally in the Global Food Security Index GFSI 2021.
He also explained that, according to the directives of His Highness the Amir to maximise the role of the private sector in the economic fields in the country, the State has put forward projects for the cultivation of fish and shrimp, and they are currently being implemented by private sector companies using the latest scientific technologies in this field, taking into account all environmental requirements that ensure the safety of marine resources.
