The Qatari embassy in Moscow organised the annual competition in the Arabic language, Doha Prize, for Russian students, for the fourth year in a row.
A total of 150 students from various universities in Russia took part in the first round of the competition, of whom 15 qualified for the second round.
The jury then selected seven winners who were awarded with a one-year scholarship at Qatar University to study the Arabic language.
Two professors from Qatar University were among the jury of the competition.
The competition reflects Qatar's keenness in spreading the Arabic language as a tool for civilised communication and building bridges of communication and rapprochement between Arab and Islamic culture and other cultures.
