'The Pursuit of Sports', a special publication brought out by Mediaplus in connection with Qatar National Sport Day, was released at a ceremony held recently. Dr Mohan Thomas, president of the Indian Sports Centre, released the publication by handing over a copy to long-time Doha resident and global chairman of Anti-Smoking Society, Dr Mohamedunni Olakara. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Thomas underlined the importance of sports in life and called on the society to be physically active. National Sport Day is a reminder to raise awareness about the necessity of sporting activities in life. Jeby K John, managing director of Qatar Tec, attended the function as guest of honour. Mediaplus CEO Dr Amanulla Vadakkangara welcomed the gathering while marketing manager Mohamed Rafeeq proposed a vote of thanks.
