Pakistan Engineers Forum (PEF) Qatar has said it is "ready to set its new strategic direction". "Pakistan Engineers Forum is one of the oldest and most prestigious forums of Pakistani professionals residing in Qatar. PEF's mission is to enhance the technical and soft skills of professionals, employ more Pakistani professionals and make a positive contribution to the growth of Qatar," a press statement noted.
A new team of "passionate, committed and seasoned professionals and social workers has been formed to enable PEF to achieve its mission and vision and align its goals with Qatar National Vision 2030", the statement pointed out. The team has representation from diverse disciplines such as construction, oil & gas, chemical, IT, mechanical and education. The new president-elect, Riyaz Ahmed Bakali, and his team have an extensive agenda to reorganise PEF to fit the current needs of Pakistani professionals in Qatar, and has laid out an extensive programme to work on the following:
* Selection of PEF's new Cabinet, 2022-2023
* Revisit the 'Vision, Mission and Values'
* Set the strategic direction, organisational structure and goals
* Revisit the PEF Constitution
* Develop a two-year work plan
The PEF new structure will be announced to all its members at a General Body meeting on March 23.
