Winners from MES Indian School in Esperenza-2021, an inter-school dance and music video contest, were honoured by principal Hameeda Kadar.
MES had bagged the overall championship in the event organised by Birla Public School. The competitions in Western music, patriotic song, Western dance and classical dance were held for various categories. MES participated in all 14 events and won prizes in nine.
Aaesha Fathima Basheer (Class V) and Eshaal Abdul Saleem (Class X) won first prizes in classical dance junior and Western dance senior categories, respectively. Sohan Sandeep (Class II) in dance sub-junior, Parvathi Krishna (Class V) in Western dance junior, Prarthana Shaju Nair (Class VIII) in classical dance intermediate, and Arundhathi Gopikrishnan (Class X) in classical dance senior categories secured second prizes.
Anna Lorance (Class V), Krishnabala Das (Class IX), and Bharathi Prathyuksh (Class VIII) were the third prize winners in patriotic song junior, Western music senior and Western dance intermediate categories, respectively. Anwar V P, Kavitha, Sivgowri, Seema and Rajani S N from the Department of Fine Arts trained the students for the contest. Anver K and Sumitha Abdul Naser were the co-ordinators from the school.
