Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and his accompanying delegation visited Qatar National Library (QNL) on Monday as part of his visit to the country. Upon his arrival at the library, the president was received by HE the Minister of State and President of QNL Dr Hamad bin Abdulaziz al-Kawari. President Tebboune was briefed on the architectural structure of Qatar National Library and the most important books it contains in various categories such as science, arts and literature. In his speech on the honourary record of the library, the Algerian president lauded the treasures and holdings of Qatar National Library in the form of manuscripts, periodicals, rare maps, vast collection of books, and other collectibles. He expressed pleasure to visit this civilisational and cultural landmark, during his visit to Qatar, as one of the evidence of the renaissance in this authentic Arab country. "The library is a landmark that indicates the importance Qatar's leadership attaches to knowledge and technology," he added. The president congratulated the authorities for the richness and diversity of QNL, adding that it is another proud achievement for Qatar.
