The 10th edition of Halal Qatar Festival is set to conclude Saturday at Katara - The Cultural Village after drawing wide participation of livestock owners and herders in Qatar and the GCC countries.
The most beautiful sheep and goat competitions being held daily are among the key attractions. The festival is considered an important and active platform for the herd and livestock owners to review the latest developments in the field, meet each other and exchange ideas and experiences and make new deals to improve the quality of high-end and distinguished types of breed.
The participants at the event highly appreciated the efforts of Katara and the organising committee to make the festival a success, making this edition more fascinating than the previous ones.
Participant Mohamed Meshaal al-Adwani thanked the organising committee for the great efforts in developing the festival over the years, especially regarding the different categories of the beauty contests. He stressed that this would reflect positively on the livestock wealth in the country and certainly encourage herd owners to improve their production and acquire new excellent varieties.
This would eventually contribute towards achieving more self-sufficiency in the food industry and production within the country. He pointed out that this edition in particular enjoyed a wide participation from the young people.
Participant Jaralla Mohamed al-Nabit said that the organising committee has offered all the necessary facilities and made the participation process easier. He further stressed that the festival has seen great developments locally and regionally on the GCC level and attracted wider participation, establishing its high status and good reputation.
Participant Ateq Bakhit al-Marri noted that the competitions were intense and enjoyed good participation, reflecting the high importance of the event among herd owners. Participant Mansur Abdulla highly appreciated the excellent organisation of the festiva.
