Qatar Chamber-sponsored ‘Merwad 7’ to kick off on March 2

The seventh edition of the ‘Merwad Exhibition’ is scheduled to kick off on March 2 at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) under the sponsorship of the Qatar Chamber and support of the Qatar Businesswomen Forum.

The six-day expo, which is organised by Vouge Event Company, will display products and designs of more than 150 prominent female entrepreneurs from Qatar, alongside others from GCC countries, Lebanon, Turkey, Morocco, and India.Featuring 200 stands, exhibitors will display their latest innovations in fashion designs for the Ramadan season 2022, as well as a collection of women’s supplies and accessories.Qatar Chamber board member Ibtihaj al-Ahmadani, who is also chairperson of Qatar Businesswomen Forum, will inaugurate the expo in the presence of a number of leading businesswomen and entrepreneurs.The exhibition offers a good opportunity for visitors to get acquainted with the latest trends in fashion and luxurious clothes, as well as the latest designs of abayas. Al-Ahmadani said the expo has witnessed significant development over the years and gained a great reputation not only at the local level but also at the Arab and international levels.She reiterated the support of the Qatar Businesswomen Forum for this exhibition, which stemmed from its firm conviction of providing support for Qatari female entrepreneurs and enabling them to promote their projects locally and internationally.Al-Ahmadani also stressed the Qatar Chamber’s keenness to sponsor the exhibition, indicating that the expo successfully reflects the creativity of Qatari women and entrepreneurs.She also pointed to the participation of a number of brands in the expo, stressing that it is one of the most prominent exhibitions in Qatar for high-end Arab fashion and abayas.The expo offers a good opportunity for exhibitors to display their luxurious fashion to meet the growing demand for them, she added.Vouge Event Company director Tamader al-Marri praised the 30% increase in the number of exhibitors in the expo’s seventh edition, which includes 200 stands compared to 150 stands in the sixth edition. She noted that this growth in the number of participants in the exhibition affirmed the success it has achieved in previous editions.Al-Marri also paid tribute to the Qatar Chamber’s sponsorship for the expo and the support of the Qatari Businesswomen Forum, headed al-Ahmadani, “who is always keen to open the exhibition.”She assured that the expo has become a vital platform that highlights the creations of a group of the most prominent local designers and fashion stores, noting that it will resume its successes to transfer from an exhibition of high-end abayas and fashion into a major platform for designers to learn and exchange experiences.
