The Minister of Public Works and Housing of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Eng Yahya Kisbi praised the recent development witnessed by the State of Qatar in the field of infrastructure, looking forward to enhancing prospects for co-operation between the two brotherly countries and exchanging experiences in the field of modern and advanced housing projects.
In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), he noted during his recent visit to Qatar, the discussions were held to enhance co-operation relations, especially in the field of construction, housing and contracting.
The minister said that the brotherly relations between the State of Qatar and Jordan, whose foundations were laid by the wise leaderships of the two countries, are solid and deep.
The minister also referred to the meeting he had with HE the Minister of Municipality Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki al-Subaie, during which they reviewed ways of enhancing prospects for co-operation between the two brotherly countries in the field of housing, construction, contracting, infrastructure and urban development, especially with regard to the exchange of experiences.
The minister expressed his admiration for the engineering development in the construction of the Barahat Al Janoub project in the Al Wakrah area, and the engineering methods used in its construction, looking forward to strengthening co-operation between the two countries in the field of housing, and exchanging experiences in the field of modern and advanced housing projects that are being established in the country and transferred to Jordan.
He pointed out that he was also briefed on the unique educational, development and research system and the tremendous development in the infrastructure at Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development.
He also indicated that he held talks with HE the Minister of Social Development and Family Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser al-Misnad, on the sidelines of the meeting of the 38th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Housing and Reconstruction, and the fourth session of the Arab Ministerial Forum on Housing and Urban Development, which was held recently in Jordan, to enhance prospects for co-operation between the two countries in various fields, including housing, construction and contracting, and to follow up on the outcomes of the aforementioned sessions.
