Pakistan International School Qatar (PISQ) organised a High Achievers Awards Ceremony to honour students and teachers who excelled in the SSC and HSSC annual examinations-2021, conducted by the Federal Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (FBISE), Islamabad.
Pakistan ambassador and PISQ board of governors chairman Syed Ahsan Raza Shah was the chief guest. His wife and Salman Hakem al-Anezi from Jassim & Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation were special guests and board of governors members Mohamed Ali and Dr Kalsoom Junejo the guests of honour. The event was attended by a large number of parents, students, and guests.PISQ principal Nargis Raza Otho welcomed the gathering. All the high achievers were honoured with Certificates of Commendation, Shields and Rolls of Honour by the chief guest, and the principal. The comperes of the function, Hassan Ilahi and Manal Rauf, announced the names of the students who secured overall first, second and third positions in their respective groups of SSC and HSSC examination, 2021.Imran Waqar, Hafsah Shoaib, Hafsa Imran and Syeda Masooma Shah were first in the Science Group SSC-II and Sara Arif Zaman first in SSC-II Humanities group. Hafsa Mohamed Abdullah, Madiha Khan, Eiman Iftikhar, Sana Sneha Kay, and Ramsha Rizwan were first in HSSC-II Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, Science General, Commerce and Humanities group, respectively.Hareem Khan and Shaima Mohamed Ijaz were second in SSC-II. Maria Aziz, Zoya Arshad Karim, Marzia Baqir Ali, Afreen Ghulam Mustafa, and Roshaney Butt were second in HSSC-II. Those who stood third in SSC-II are Mariam Fatima, Akza Qazi and Rawida Gul. Khalifa Janar Khan, Mishal Fazil, Aleshba Riaz Ali, and Shemaa Mohamed Iraq were third in HSSC-II in their respective groups.High Achievers of Cambridge Wing include Amna Saleem, Khadija Yousaf, Maheen Rahat, Noura Mohamed, Rumaisa Attique, Omer Said, Ayesha Khatoon, Amal Mohamed, Hakeemat Opeyemi, and Sama Waleed. The dedicated teachers of the high achievers were equally commended by the chief guest and awarded Certificates of Appreciation.From Cambridge Wing, Zainab Ishtiaq and Masood ur Rehman, from Senior Boys Wing Anwar Shah, Mohamed Tahir, and Malik Shafiq and from Senior Girls Wing Nishat Wajid, Summayah Hameed, Hina Kalsoom, Mahjabeen Baloch, Ammara Yasmin, Uzma Bashir, Mahpara Khurrum, Sana Naeem, Fozia, Sada Bahar, Naheed Nadeem, and Rukhsana Shaukat received certificates.Speaking on the occasion, ambassador Shah feted the high achievers hoping that one day many of them would be serving the motherland with high spirit and exuberance. He announced that the construction work of the new building for the school would commence soon without charging any extra fee from the parents in order not to overburden them.He appreciated the principal, staff, and students for their commendable performance, and motivated them to keep moving ahead with the same zeal and zest. Valedictorians Mahmood Khan and Shermin Bukhari thanked everyone, especially the principal.The principal lauded the teachers for their diligent performance and urged them to achieve more laurels and distinctions for the school.
