Qatar and Rwanda have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for defence co-operation between the two countries.
The memorandum aims to establish a co-operative framework in the field of defence and security, in addition to enhancing and strengthening the existing friendship and solidarity relations between the two countries.
From the Qatari side, HE Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel al-Nabit signed the MoU in Rwanda's capital Kigali, while Chief of Defence Staff General Jean Bosco Kazura signed the memorandum from the Rwandan side, in the presence of officials and a number of high-ranking officers from both sides.
