Sri Lankan Toastmasters Club Qatar recently celebrated its 100th meeting themed 'Zero to Hundred.' The hybrid event was kickstarted by the sergeant-at-arms Sumedha De Silva, the charter secretary of the club. The incumbent president Salman Gaffary Hilmi opened the meeting.
A keynote session on the topic 'Communicate to Lead', was conducted virtually by the celebrated business leader from Sri Lanka Dr Kishu Gomes. Felicitations were offered by the leaders of District 116, including Manzoor Moideen (district director), Rajesh V C (district programme quality director), Ravishankar J (district club growth director), Alarmel Mangai (Division G director of District 116), Thayalan Kailayapillai (immediate past district director), Kamil Ariff (charter president) and other dignitaries from Qatar and abroad.
Sri Lankan Toastmasters Club – Qatar, formed in October 2017, has more than 150 members. Toastmasters International is a worldwide not-for-profit organisation focusing on developing communication and leadership skills of its members.
