CCQ hosts first meeting of Logistics and Supply Chain Management Programmes advisory board

The Community College of Qatar (CCQ) has hosted the first meeting of the Advisory Board for Logistics and Supply Chain Management Programmes, chaired by CCQ vice-president Dr Khalid al-Abdulqader.The meeting was attended by Qatar Armed Forces’s Supply and Equipment Development Centre director Brigadier-General Dr Ali Saeed al-Shuaibi, Mwani Qatar executive vice-president of Operations Abdulaziz Al-Yafei, Hamad Medical Corporation assistant executive director of Logistics and Supplies Salem Mohamed al-Marri, Economic Zones Company – Qatar (Manateq) operations manager Abdulrahman al-Suroor, Gulf Warehousing Company operations manager Atif Boutadghart, Qatalum’s Logistics Department director Hisham Abdel Halim, Hamad Bin Khalifa University assistant professor Dr Adel Elomri, and Dr Muneer Abbad, Logistics Programmes co-ordinator at the CCQ.The Advisory Board for Logistics and Supply Chain Management Programmes discussed a range of topics, including assessing employment needs in the Qatar labour market for the specialisation of logistics and supply chain management and developing a mechanism to involve local and international institutions in supporting students to complete their graduation research and projects.The board also discussed suggestions related to the possibility of establishing joint projects between the college and various sectors of the community to enhance student experience and develop their skills and expertise, including co-operation with international educational institutions that grant professional certificates in the field of logistics and supply chain services, and forging partnerships with public institutions to achieve mutual benefit.The advisory board aims to contribute to the continuous improvement process of the academic programmes offered by the college to meet the evolving needs of the labour market.
