Students aged 12 years and under are no longer required to wear face masks in all public and private schools and kindergartens (KGs) in Qatar, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) has said, while allowing those who wish to wear masks to continue to do so.The decision will come into effect on Sunday, March 20. It comes within the framework of the ministry's keenness to provide a safe school environment and is in line with recent developments and decisions to ease some Covid-19 precautionary measures in the country. Unvaccinated and non-recovered students will continue to undergo a rapid antigen test at home on a weekly basis, according to the established measures.The MoEHE has called on students to continue to abide by all other precautionary measures, stressing its full concern for their safety and its commitment to the continuation of the educational process in a manner that suits all circumstances and developments.
