Windy and dusty conditions are expected to continue in Qatar on Friday, along with cool conditions, the weather forecast shows.
In its daily report on Thursday, the Qatar Met department said strong winds are expected in the country on Friday, along with poor visibility.
Similar conditions are also likely offshore besides high seas.
The wind speed may go up to 42 knots offshore and 32 knots inshore at times today, with the sea level rising to 13’.
The detailed forecast says dusty conditions are expected and it will be cold by night.
Visibility, meanwhile, may drop to 2km or less in some places at times.
The temperature is expected to range from 15-24° Celsius in Doha today.
Yesterday, Doha (airport area) recorded a minimum of 18C and maximum of 22C.
Doha and other parts of the country have been experiencing strong winds and dusty conditions since Wednesday evening, with the trend likely to continue for a while.
"It is expected that strong winds will continue during the next two days, which will lead to rising dust and low horizontal visibility. The cold weather will continue at night and during the early morning hours," the Met department tweeted yesterday, reminding people to avoid all activities during the warning period.
