MES Indian School president K Abdul Karim, was awarded the first-ever Global Visionary Award by the Global Group of Educational Institutes, a school statement said. Indian embassy second secretary Kuljeet Singh Arora presented the award at a function at the Indian Cultural Centre recently. Karim, a retired banker, is from a family with a lineage of 150 years in the field of teaching. He is also a founder member of some prominent schools in Thrissur, India.
