Qatar Airways proud to play a role in 50th Amir Cup final

Qatar Airways, the Official Airline Partner of the Qatar Football Association (QFA), congratulated Al Duhail on their triumphant 5-1 victory against Al Gharafa in an historic Amir Cup final. The airline was present at the prize distribution ceremony to honour the domestic cup champions by presenting the winners and runner-up medals in the presence of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani. Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive HE Akbar al-Baker said: “The 50th Amir Cup is a landmark achievement for the Qatar Football Association and we remain committed towards harnessing the power of sport to positively impact our local communities.” Al-Baker added: “We commend both teams for successfully paving their way to the final. I also extend my appreciation to the Qatar Football Association for organising this year’s Amir Cup, giving us the chance to bring the fans together and providing home-grown players the platform to compete at the highest level, ahead of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.”Earlier this month, Qatar Airways and QFA celebrated the 50th Amir Cup final with a special student football match at Oryx International School. Students experienced the thrill of seeing the coveted trophy in person as part of the exciting event ahead of the final of the prominent national tournament.
