Retail giant LuLu Hypermarket chain, has launched ‘Ramadan Souq’ at the Abu Sidra branch as part of its Ramadan preparations, featuring all essentials. The traditional style market has special offerings from dates, honey, nuts and other grocery items to household, home appliances and decoration items, home appliances and furnishings with a wide range of curtains and carpets. The inaugural ceremony on Sunday was attended by Central Municipal Council members Mubarak Freesh and Badar al-Rumaihi, Mohamed Mansour (Qatar Thoras Society), Dheyaa Alshmare (head of public relations, Qatar Society for Rehabilitation and Special Needs), senior officials from Qatar Charity and many other dignitaries including LuLu Group International director Dr Mohamed Althaf and other senior LuLu officials.LuLu Group has also organised a Shop & Win promotion at LuLu Hypermarket, Abu Sidra with two Toyota Landcruiser VXR (Full option) SUVs alongside other multiple offers and discounts. The first-of-its-kind promotion in the region will run from March 19 until Eid holidays.In addition to ‘Ramadan Souq’, Lulu has special offers and discounts on a wide range of products, including groceries, frozen foods, fresh food, hot food and bakery, cleaning and accessories, home furnishings and decor, garments as well as household and home appliances – both in-store and online. Special Ramadan kits containing groceries, such as rice, milk powder, sugar, oil and other essentials, will also be available at less than the regular market price. Reflecting on the festivity, Dr Althaf, said: “After 2-3 years now we all will have a proper Ramadan season this year, people will be able to go out, enjoy and meet each other. So, Lulu Hypermarket, Abu Sidra branch particularly we want to make it as a Ramadan outlet this year”.“We have massive Ramadan promotions this year. We are also doing this just to give confidence to people that everything they want for Ramadan is available. No matter what is happening around the world, we still have good stock of things here and the prices are matched so that prices have not gone up substantially. We are welcoming Ramadan with lot of confidence and joy this year”, he added.
