QNB Group, the largest financial institution in the Middle East and Africa, participated as the Official Bank Sponsor at the first ever-Smart City Expo organised by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) at Msheireb Downtown Doha on March 29-30.
The event, which brought in visitors from around the world, has discussed the five key topics of sustainable cities, reshaping digital public services, the global economy, digital readiness and sport events in a connected society.
During the event, QNB displayed its digital innovations to meet the evolving needs of customers and merchants alike. It also displayed the latest banking solutions created in line with the changes imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, including safe contactless ATMs transactions, self-service bankcard issuance capabilities, enhanced mobile and Internet banking capabilities WhatsApp services, as well as WeChat Pay and Simplify payment acceptance, and demonstration on FacePay.
QNB Group also unveiled new innovative cross border payment’s solutions with Ripple.
Being the first to market through RippleNet, QNB enhances cross-border payments and expand its remittance service across multiple countries in a quick succession.
