HMC announces Ramadan service timings

The Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has announced changes to the operating hours of a number of services for the holy month of Ramadan.

All emergency and inpatient services across the HMC’s network of hospitals will continue to operate as normal, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.The changes to operating hours affect a number of services delivered remotely via the national Covid-19 helpline number: 16000.* Covid-19 helplineRamadan service hours: 24 hours a day, seven days a week.How to access the service: call 16000, select language, and select 1 for Covid-19 helpline.* The HMC Outpatient Department ClinicsThe HMC’s Outpatient Department clinics will operate from 9am-2pm, Sunday to Thursday.* HMC Urgent Consultation ServiceRamadan service hours: from Sunday to Thursday, 9am-2pm.How to access the service: call 16000, select language, select 3 for HMC, and select 1 for HMC Urgent Consultation.* Mental Health HelplineRamadan service hours: from 9am-5pm, Saturday to Thursday.How to access the service: call 16000, select language, select 3 for HMC, and select 1 for HMC Urgent Consultation.* HMC Pharmacy Medication Home Delivery ServiceRamadan service hours: from 9am-2pm, Saturday to Thursday.How to access the service: call 16000, select language, select 3 for HMC, and select 2 for Medication Delivery (there is a QR30 fee for delivery payable by credit card).* Dental HospitalAll HMC Dental Hospital outpatient clinic timings will be from 9am-2pm and from 8.30pm to 11.30pm, Sunday to Thursday, with the exception of orthodontics and pedodontics clinics, whose timings are from 8am-4pm, Sunday to Thursday.* HMC Diabetes HotlineWill operate seven days a week from 8am to 5.30pm.Call 16099 and select 4.The Diabetes Hotline is run by trained diabetes educators with backup physician.People with diabetes also can send any diabetes-related concerns to the diabetes educators via e-mail to dehgh1@hamad.qa or to the diabetes WhatsApp number – 33495775 – after hours and they will be answered within 24 hours.* Changes to Hamad Medical Corporation hospitals 1. Blood DonationOld Blood Donor Centre next to Hamad General Hospital: Sunday to Thursday from 8am-1pm and from 6pm until midnight.The Saturday hours will be from 6pm until midnight.New Blood Donor Centre near Surgical Specialty Centre: from 6pm until midnight, Sunday to Thursday (closed in the morning).Both centres are closed on Fridays.* HMC’s Nesma’ak Customer ServiceNesma’ak Customer Service helpline, 16060 will operate from 7am-10pm, seven days a week.
