Importance of 4 Cs in education (Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking and Creative Thinking) was discussed, to be blended in the teaching-learning process.
Loyola International School (LIS) principal Pramod Kumar Ranwaka held a two-day session on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
Importance of 4 Cs in education (Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking and Creative Thinking) was discussed, to be blended in the teaching-learning process. The main focus was on the competency-based education (CBE), an approach that allows students to master a skill at their own pace regardless of the environment. He further enlightened the educators about competency-based lesson planning and competency-based assessments for enhancing the process. Ranwaka also emphasised on moving from good teacher to a great teacher. Succeeding the training, various departments of LIS presented their lesson plans using CBE the following day. Each department presented the planning of lessons for various levels, starting from Grade 1 to Grade 10. Student-centred learning and individualised instructions were the prime focus, along with activity-based learning to enrich students’ knowledge.
