QTS performances draw applause

QTS presented three colourful performances depicting the traditional art forms of Tamil Nadu.
Indian socio-cultural organisation Qatar Tamizhar Sangam (QTS), an associate organisation of Indian Cultural Centre under the aegis of Embassy of India participated in the Passage to India event organised recently by ICC at the MIA Park. QTS presented three colourful performances depicting the traditional art forms of Tamil Nadu.
On the first day of the event, a group of 10 members presented the Parai, an ancient musical instrument and another group of more than 25 members performed the Silambam, an ancient martial art of Tamil culture. The last day of the event witnessed an enthralling performance of Poikkaal Kuthirai, another ancient folk dance of Tamil Nadu. The performances received tremendous applause from the audience, QTS general secretary S Muniyappan said in a statement.
