The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced a closure at Al Shamal Road towards north between Al Gharrafa (Passports) Interchange and Izghawa Interchange from 2 am to 10 am on April 8. The closure that will be implemented in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic has been announced in order to install a new pedestrian bridge.
Road Users coming from 22 February Street towards north must turn right at Al Markhiyya Intersection onto Khalifa Boulevard then turn left onto Jasim Bin Hamad to join Al Tarfa Street to reach their destinations on Al Shamal Road.
Road users coming from Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor towards north can keep on Umm Lekhba Interchange and the service road on Al Shamal Road, then turn right at Duhail Interchange ono Al Khafji Street then turn left at Jelaia Intersection onto Jassim Bin Hamad Street to join Al Tarfa Street to reach their destinations
Road users coming from Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor towards north can keep on Umm Lekhba Interchange and the service road on Al Shamal Road, then turn right at Duhail Interchange on Al Khafji Street, then turn left at Jelaia Intersection onto Jasim Bin Hamad Street to join Al Tarfa Street to reach their destinations.
Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the temporary closure and requested all to follow them and abide by the speed limit to ensure safety.
